we love weekends
Well, the Brewer family had another fun-filled weekend.
On Friday night, Mother took me to see Don Giovanni. You know you're at an opera performance in Chattanooga when, in the first fifteen minutes, Donna Anna's father is killed by Don Giovanni and, after witnessing the bloody mess, the person behind me in the audience lets out an audible, "Dad gum!" Ahh, culture...
Saturday night, we were lucky enough to be invited to dinner at the Miscio household, which is always a treat. This night, the menu consisted of delicious chili rellenos, black beans, rice, and Kara's insanely yummy guacamole.
Molly provided a little pre-dinner entertainment

Today, we took advantage of the glorious weather by going down to the playgound near Ross's Landing...

After some playground fun, we hung out at Uncle Rob & Aunt Kelly's for a little while...

After coming home & having dinner, it was time to try out our new Elmo bubble bath...

We hope that y'all had a great weekend, too.
Here's to a great Monday...CHEERS!

'twas the season
Sorry that it's taken me so long to give a holiday update--what with the stomach virus that hit us all like a ton of bricks, all the travel & visitors, and the cold that we're all now trying to shake--it's been hellacrazy around the Brewer house.
Here are a few highlights from our holiday...all in all, it was fabulous. It's always so nice to see family & friends that we don't get to see as often as we'd like.
Christmas morning started with hallelujah ham rolls & bellinis (sp?)...

someday I'll be big enough for a bellini

after breakfast, it was on to opening gifts

We were lucky enough to spend a few days with some of our dearest friends that we hardly ever get to see. Matt & Kazu were in from Las Vegas & we enjoyed the hospitality of Matt's parents in Asheville.
here's Molly with her Aunt Kazu

Molly has never met a dog she didn't like--this one outside a restaurant in Asheville was no exception

Kazu made dinner for us one night. It was delicious--almost as good as when she made it for Jerad & me in Japan.

the Mouse enjoyed it as well

Molly had a wonderful time in NC.

Of course, New Year's Eve wouldn't be complete without...

TEQUILA SHOTS!!!

It was so hard to say goodbye to our friends on Sunday, but we did get a nice group shot...

What a difference a year makes...
As for resolutions, Jerad & I have decided to bypass that this year...why set yourseld up for failure? Molly on the other hand has resolved to...
get in touch with her inner Elton John

spend more time upside down

and EAT MORE CORNBREAD
